Our workshops cater to both the professional and young aspiring musician. At World Music Nashville we pride ourselves on offering access to all facets of the music learning experience.

Band Workshops

WANT TO PLAY IN A BAND?   Of COURSE YOU DO.   EVERYONE DOES !!!

 Our most popular offering, the Band Workshop is a six-week course in which participants are assigned to a musical group and are instructed as a real group. Students are taught about basic rhythm and cohesion, chord placement for guitarists, the "groove", and various other topics pertaining to musical performance.

 Just about everyone dreams of getting on stage and playing in a band. Well at World Muic Nashville we can make that dream come true. Here you can play in a band with people of similar abilities and interests. No searching for members, no auditions, no awkwardness. We simply get you in the band, and off you go.

 You’ll rehearse with a professional musician who coaches the band in group playing and arrangement. The bands are formed around many styles. These include rock, blues, jazz, country, bluegrass and pop. The styles are chosen by the participants.

 The Band Workshop culminates in a multi-song performance at the next Student Concert show. A truly thrilling night of many bands performing in an all out concert setting with big sound, lights, and even fog machines.

Band workshops are 6 week sessions (one hour in length/one session per week). Tuition is $150 (for 6 weeks).

Adult Jam Workshops

Ever want to get together with a couple of friends and sit around and jam with a professional instructor to coach you? We provide the performance space complete with amps, PA system, drum set, and coach. You simply bring your axe, and enthusiasm.

ADULT JAM! is a four week, one hour workshop in which the participants choose what they want to play and do just that. Perfect for the Weekend Warriors who just want to play. Learn songs and jam with other adult students.
